Net Action are Web marketing specialists who have been actively involved in Internet marketing since 1996. We do not design or build Web sites. Instead we concentrate on maintaining our knowledge of Web marketing issues. This is a specialised and constantly changing field and we do not believe that we can offer a highly effective quality service if we try to do "everything for everyone". We use a sophisticated custom database system to manage and add value to our client work.

We have strong practical backgrounds in marketing and systems, especially in the New Zealand Tourism and Recruitment industries. Our focus is on assisting businesses to maximise their Internet investment and to promote their Web sites, using both online and traditional marketing techniques. We like to build close relationships with our clients so that we get to know their specific needs and their businesses very well.

We are based at Hahei Beach in The Coromandel and welcome client visits! We have both lived for extended periods in the South Island and overseas. We try to travel within New Zealand and visit clients on a regular basis. We enjoy working with many of New Zealand's smaller tourism operators as well as key players in the industry. Our company name was changed from Quasar Consulting during 2000.

Our Key People

Sue Dorrington
Sue has been actively involved in the New Zealand travel and tourism industry for over 25 years, in both the retail travel and inbound sectors. In 1995 she set up her own business as an independent consultant undertaking tourism and marketing consulting work. One of these projects involved assisting a leading travel publisher with the content development and marketing of their new web site, which lead to a new focus for her marketing skills.

Since 1996, Sue has spent considerable time building up her knowledge of the Internet as a marketing tool and now specialises in helping travel & tourism businesses to maximise their Internet investment.

Sue also publishes a regular email newsletter, 'Tourism Web Marketing' aimed at increasing awareness and knowledge of Web marketing in the travel and tourism industry.

Ron Egan
Ron has been working in the computer industry and related roles since 1982. This has included small business systems sales and support, in house systems and business management, and specialist database support for corporate clients. He has a wide range of expertise in the use of computer software, such as database applications, for maximising business efficiency. Has been actively involved in the development of Net Action's Web marketing services and systems since 1996, including our own in house specialist web marketing database.

Ron has qualifications and experience in accounting and marketing and specialises in the recruitment and tourism industries.

We employ staff and also work closely with a number of other organisations who are able to provide specialist input if required.
