Reciprocal Linking
Date: 27 May 2008
Cross linking between sites with similar content is important. Reciprocal linking (which you probably get e-mails about) is where two sites link directly to each other.
We already have a link in place to your site from your listing on Great New Zealand. If you create a reciprocal link back, it will also help our site. The better our site performs, the better it should also then work for your listing.
We will also soon be making some changes on our sites so they provide advantages for listings that have a reciprocal link in place to us. This may involve highlighting your listing and / or giving your listing better positioning than those without a reciprocal link.
It is a case of “if you support us, we will support you better”.
Many of you have already linked to us. Thank you, we appreciate it. If you have, please reply to this email to let us know where the reciprocal link is on your site. Then we can record it in our system and ensure that you get any benefits we introduce.
If you haven’t linked to us already, we would appreciate it if you would put a link in place to Great New Zealand (and Destination NZ too would be great). Please also let us know where the link is placed on your site.
Linking images and text is available at http://www.destinationnz.co.nz/linking.php. If you require help with this, please contact us.
