Web Marketing - How to check your site uptime
Date: 27 June 2008

To check if your site is working at all, there are free and paid “Site Uptime Checkers” that you can use. These check your site regularly and email you if it is not working. Beware though, they will only tell you if your site is fully down. They will not tell you if the site is there but looks terrible or is missing content. You must check manually for that.

One such checker is at www.internetseer.com. Or do a search for “site uptime checkers”

A broken site may sound unlikely but we have seen all of these things happen to sites recently. We notice any changes to our sites and our clients’ sites because we are working with them very regularly. It is up to you to monitor your site if no-one else is.
